1. Introduction

unblind.ai ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our SaaS platform and related services (collectively, the "Services").

2. Data We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Usage Data: We may collect data related to your activity on our Services, such as project details, analyses performed, IP addresses, browser type, and session information.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for session management and security. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how our Services are used.

3. Connections to Third-Party Platforms

Our Services allow you to connect your unblind.ai account to third-party platforms to import and manage content. How we handle data for these connections is outlined below.

Shopify

  • Authorization: When you connect a Shopify store, we use OAuth 2.0 to request specific permissions. We never ask for more permissions than are necessary to provide our services.
  • Data Accessed: We access your shop domain and receive an Admin API access token, which we store securely encrypted. We use this token to access product, collection, and content metadata for SEO analysis and optimization at your request.
  • No Customer PII: We do not request, access, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about your customers.
  • Uninstall: If you uninstall our Shopify app, we receive a webhook and immediately delete the corresponding access token, permanently revoking our access to your store.

Other Platforms (Magento, PrestaShop, etc.)

  • Connectors for other platforms such as Magento and PrestaShop are planned for the future. They will follow similar privacy-respecting principles: requesting minimal necessary permissions, securing API credentials, and providing a clear method for disconnecting the service. This policy will be updated as new connectors are released.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure usage and improve our Services. Google Analytics sets cookies only after your consent via our consent banner. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data is processed under Google’s policies and applicable regulations.

User-ID

  • Purpose: When you are logged in, we may associate your events with a pseudonymous internal user identifier (User-ID) to understand cross‑device usage of our app.
  • No PII in ID: The identifier contains no directly identifiable information (no name, no cleartext email, etc.).
  • Legal basis: Consent for analytics. Without consent, User-ID is not used.

User‑Provided Data (UPD)

  • Enablement: We have enabled Google’s User‑Provided Data collection and accepted Google’s policy governing this feature.
  • What we send: With your consent, we may send hashed identifiers derived from data you provide to us (e.g., your account email). We do not send sensitive category content.
  • Hashing: Hashing is performed client‑side per Google’s requirements (SHA‑256, lower‑casing, and trimming). Values are not sent in cleartext.
  • Automatic detection: If tag “automatic detection” is enabled, collection only fires after consent. We do not collect form fields automatically without prior consent.
  • Purposes: Audience measurement and product improvement; advertising personalization only if you have consented to marketing cookies/processing.
  • Opt‑out: You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner preferences, use a compatible Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or configure your browser to block analytics collection.

Retention and controls

  • Durations: Retention windows are limited and configured in our Google Analytics property in line with data minimization principles.
  • Transparency: Upon request (hello@unblind.ai), we can provide details of our current settings (retention window, processing regions, advertising features, etc.).

Google Signals

  • Feature: When Google Signals is enabled in GA4, and where users are signed in to Google and have consented, Google may associate our site visits with information from Google services to provide advertising features (e.g., interests/demographics reporting, cross‑device audiences).
  • Reporting identity: We do not include Google Signals in our Google Analytics reporting identity (we do not use the blended identity option that incorporates Signals).
  • Legal basis and consent: Google Signals (and any advertising feature) is gated behind your “marketing” consent. Without such consent, we do not collect these data nor fire related tags.
  • Google policies: By enabling Google Signals, we comply with Google’s Advertising Features Policy, including restrictions on sensitive categories.
  • Regions: Signals collection is enabled globally (all available regions). You may withdraw consent anytime via the cookie preferences banner.
  • User control: Users can manage and delete associations in My Activity (Google).

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide, operate, and improve our Services.
  • Communicate with you, including responding to support requests sent to hello@unblind.ai.
  • Ensure the security of our platform and prevent fraud.

6. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. API credentials and other sensitive data are always stored in an encrypted format. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage your account information directly from your user profile or request data deletion by contacting us at hello@unblind.ai.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
